An English - Russian Presentation         

We enjoy restoring, maintaining and driving both heavy and light military vehicles and are members of the MVMVC, The Merrimack Valley Military Vehicle Collectors.   These Vehicles, Trailers, Support, Power and Radio Systems are  maintained to original military standards at our New England ranch.  The M35A2 and M151A2 are equipped with both VHF and long range tactical HF radios, antennas, personnel support equipment and sub zero cab and engine heating systems.  The M35A2 is a turbo charged LD-467 multi fuel diesel 6X6, has a 400+ mile cruising range and can negotiate extremely heavy terrain, mud and snow.  This is a 14,000 pound vehicle, empty and can carry a 10,000 pound load with little effort.  It is possible to pass through water at least 4 feet deep and ride over large rocks and trees.  Front mounted is a Garwood military spec 10,000 pound winch with an extra payload of 5/8 EHS cable.  This large PTO engine driven winch is capable of much more than its military rating.  One time the truck became stuck in a swamp and was winched up to a large pine tree.  The first pine tree was pulled out of the ground.  The second try required connection to several large trees.  The Rockwell axles on the M35A2 are popularly used on Monster show trucks because of their extreme strength.  M35A2's are sometimes called "deuce and half's" and are used to carry troops, equipment and as gun trucks from Viet Nam through the current Iraq war.  These 40 year old vehicles are a trip to drive, take to parades and show at car shows.  

This past summer we toured the Soviet Military War museum in Kiev and Sevastopol Navy Base on the Black Sea.

Все члены клаба имеют, как минимум, одну из моделей военной машины. А наш президент аж 40!( он просто крези!) на этом деле...У нас с Роджем всего две: самая большая и самая маленькая. Оба джипа. Все машины, как правило, относятся к антикварным (более 35 лет!), хорошо отреставрированные хозяевами и имеющие прекрасный вид. Но это надо видеть! Клаб имеет свой актив, свой план и программу движения. Активизироваться мы начинаем весной и продожаем до зимы. В это время проходят различные шоу, парады, показы и т.д, в разных уголках нашего штата, что уже само по себе бывает интересно. К тому же, очень часто проходят фли маркеты, где представлена и продается вся утварь на военную тему. Очень захватывающий процесс, я вам скажу. Обычно, один раз в год, бывает крупно-масштабное событие (как правило летом), которое продолжается 2-3 дня. Что-то вроде фли маркета и пикника вместе. Вся масса живет в палатках, готовит еду на кострах и т.д, общается по вечерам. Днем выставляется все на показ и продажу. Очень прикольные штучки иногда попадаются. Многие члены, как и мой муж, относятся к бывшим военным, хорошо разбираются в технике, поэтому общаться всегда интересно. Основные праздники мы тоже празднуем вместе. Был замечательный Мерри Хримас, например, в этом году. Все пришли и ушли с подарками и натанцевались. К милитари хобби присоединяется еще и радио хобби. Все водители общаются между собой по рации. Чувствуешь себя как на военно-полевых действиях, узнаешь много нового, общаешься с разными людьми. Вообщем, одним словом, мне просто интересно. Хотя если бы раньше сказали, что увлекусь, не поверила бы. Жизнь меняется и мы тоже. Смотрите фото и следите за новостям
